Today’s post has a very weak link to business centres but is a topic that has cropped up in the last couple of weeks.
For those that have chosen to follow me, you know that I sell flexible office space, and am quite the purveyor of this industry. As a salesperson, and like so many out there I am mobile. I carry a laptop, cell phones and in the past a notebook. These items are my working life.
When I use a business centre I pretty much have everything I need in one bag. At times in the past, I was prone to work frustration due to not having, in some cases, files and documents that aided my day.
That was until 6 months ago when I decided to invest in an iPad. This thing has nothing short of revolutionized my entire life. I downloaded GoodNotes to erase the need for note books (yes I literally write on the tablet) and then DropBox, which allows me to store all my files in the cloud.
These two lowly apps have made my life even more mobile than it was in the past! I have everything I need in one machine, as mentioned yesterday in my state of the union, technology is changing things, and I’m all for it!
As for the tenuous link to business centres; it is that we at #regus provide an adjunct to the mobility that I and many people desire. I can work anywhere in a professional environment, with all the tools I need. Gone are the days of pc’s and stacks of files, and notebooks and thousands of square feet, I downsized and digitized everything and the business centre has become even more attractive to me, and I would think many others, come find out…
