I have worked in the executive office field since late 2003, with the largest provider of these services. I have worked in an operational capacity as well as in a sales environment. I have worked for the firm across two countries, and sold into a multitude. Prior to this, I worked in the hospitality field in Europe and the US. I had a brief 2 year sabbatical working in corporate services negotiating leases and project managing an office build out. Across these 10-15 years in industry, I feel that I have developed a perspective on commercial real estate and the executive suite/ office industry that I want to share. I’m not certain that my perspective will be incredibly unique, but it is one that some may find of interest.
I feel at times that the executive suite industry is a little misunderstood, and while many business people out there get it; there are plenty that don’t, and I hope that this blog will enlighten those that need to know, and further inform those that already know. There are many facets to this industry, one or two misnomers and a lot of assumptions, that I feel is pertinent, at this time of global uncertainty to dispel.
I see that as time passes this blog may evolve; as my ever growing understanding of real estate develops. The founding principles of this idea, was to share real estate potential leads as I hear them. This may no longer be the case, but if I pick up news, I will share… However, since further thought and discussion on this idea has evolved, I feel more compelled to share my opinion on the commercial real estate and executive suite sector, to inform those that don’t get it as much.
I will endeavour to take a non-biassed opinion on the sector, and advise accordingly. I am under no impression that my opinion will be gospel, it is merely an opinion, and you can either take it or leave it. I am also under no false illusion that the 9 years I have been in this industry, is enough to have a better opinion than another, as mentioned, it is simply my opinion. No one has goaded me, no one is driving my opinion, and I gain no financial compensation for this opinion, as mentioned, I simply wish to share my thoughts, and in turn, better serve my clients and prospects, so that they are happy and content in the office space that I have sold them.
So there it is; the grapevine, hopefully this will be an informative learning experience for all of us.
